SDS100 on Site 63 RSSI -90dbm fluctuates to -95, D-errors 20 ( would be an approximate average ) this fluctuates from 0 to as high as 90. If this test still has the "Low Voltage" problem then try using the Mini-USB cable and power USB power supply that came with the SDS100 (without the GPS). When I stop the SDS100 on the exact same frequency that the TRX-1 is decoding, programmed as a DMR freq., it doesn't even make a hit on the signal bar. I can't imagine the TRX-1 is that much more sensitive on DMR than the SDS100. The SDS100 sure does do a good job with the P25 Simulcast systems.Jun 18, 2018 · W2GLD. I ran the SDS100 alongside the IC R30 for three hours yesterday in my office. The IC-R30 far outperformed the SDS100 and rarely stopped, opened squelch without good clear voice traffic. Just be sure to have the SDS100 plugged into your computer so it can verify the current version with the version in your SDS100. For the current beta version look at the top of this page. Look at the specs for the bottom one, that comes with a cable. It's 5 volts at 3.4 amps. Of the other two, the top one is 4.8 amps, and the second one is 4.8 amps, or if using both ports, 2.4 amps per port. It will fully seat on the scanner, and has an o-ring to maintain the weather resistance of the scanner. The REM-800B is the same antenna, but with a BNC mount. You would use the SMA-BNC adapter that comes with the scanner.Look toward the bottom of the page to find a link to download the driver. (The page references the 325P2, but the same driver is used for the 325, the 996P2, the 436HP, 536HP, as well as both the SDS100 & SDS200. It never had a lock, it had a text field in the display available but never functioned. There were some users that were seeing the keypad lock on the SDS100 actually functioning through the Sentinel software in the early versions. A better comparison would be the SDS200 vs BCD536HP or the SDS100 vs BCD436HP. However, I will offer this... with the SDS100 there is/was a heat concern (the heat is still present but the concern may have diminished). The radio will heat up when on. Sometimes I like to use the Pro106 to scan conventional channels while the SDS100 is scanning trunked systems. To make it easier to turn on/off the conventional channels on the SDS100, I create favorite lists (1=Muni, 2=State, 3=Fed/Mil, 4=Medical, 5=Education, 6=Aviation, 7=Rail/Transit, 8=Business, 9=Ham, Media & Search) and then use the ...

When I attempted the update on my SDS100, it said my firmware was already up-to-date. I knew this was not correct, and went back and double-checked the process below . I think it is IMPORTANT to follow the instructions, to a "T", in order for the process to complete ... I spent about 5 hours with my buddy Dodge Rice (DodgeTheMachinist) learning how to place the inset SDS100, or whatever inlaid text on the sides. I used the website www.tinkercad.com to edit the original .stl file. It was a fun learning process.
